“I can’t do it.”
“You can’t do it YET. What are you working on?”
“Writings my letter. My letter ‘R'”
“Oh yes, that bunny hop and slanted line on that ‘R’ make it a difficult one.”
“Wills you helps your baby bear?”
“Absolutely. Let me hold your hand.”
“I did it!! Thank you, my mama! You’s a good helper! I can tries again.”
“You’re welcome! You did a great job sticking with it.”
“I can’t do it!”
“You can’t do it YET.”
“I can’t do it yet. Wills you help me? I, Eli too little.”
“It doesn’t have to do with being little. Continue to practice. Continue to ask for help. Never give up. Do you remember what persistence is?”
“I ‘dunno.”
“Persistence is to work until the job is done.”
“Works to ‘da done. And you still help me?”
“Always and always.”
Bestest mom ever.
