“I must not have heard you correctly. What did you say?”

“Look! A crap! It on ‘da puzzthle.”

“Ohh! I see! There is a CRAB on your sea animals puzzle. It’s pronounced: cr-aBBB.”

“That’s what I said. CuuhhhRRaaPPP. Crap.”

This makes me think of my son on Fridays when we change the sheets. Not the shits, as he pronounces it. I used to walk around the bedrooms, shaking the sheets all over saying, ‘Sheets, sheets, clean sheets!’ Now he walks around saying, ‘Shits, shits, shits!’ And he’s so dang proud of himself. Kids are always good for entertainment, if nothing else!

My youngest who is 20 now could not say “peanuts”….it came out as a body part below the waist! We were at a steak house that had free peanuts and he was using his word proud and loud!!!

I had to laugh when I came in this morning and read your comment and mine – my son and I went to a steak house serving peanuts last night for the first time in forever!!!! He is 20 and knows the correct pronunciation for peanuts! I want to thank you for the trip down memory lane.
