The leaves are turning. Football season is in full swing. Pumpkin flavored everything is upon us. It is finally beginning to feel like fall in Texas. For our family, fall is one of our favorite seasons. November happens to be extra special as it is National Adoption Month. In the spirit of the changing season and to celebrate NAM, the Ortiz family is launching the Love Grows a Family Campaign. Through this campaign, we will continue to share our journey of adoption as well as continue to raise money to bring our baby home.

Our Story
In the nearly 9 years that my husband and I have been married, love has grown our family. We have a beautiful, vivacious 5 year-old boy named Eli. He is curious and compassionate. He is discerning and a dreamer. When Eli was 3, he began to ask for a sibling. At the time, my husband and I were in the thick of fertility treatments. The treatments lasted for months, but they failed. I was diagnosed as infertile. Our family was devastated and stuck.
Through the mourning of not being able to carry another child, telling my little boy that he couldn’t have a brother/sister nearly crushed me. However, with faith like only a child, he told me that we would have another baby someday. Even on that day of bad news, love grew in our family. A toddler gave us affirmation of hope. Our journey through infertility became our path to adoption. It will be through adoption that love will grow our family again.

Love Grows a Family Campaign
Because November is National Adoption Month, we are launching a month long campaign to help with the continued expense of adoption. Adoption is a wonderful yet costly process. Without y’all’s support it would take us many, many years to save up for the home study, legal fees and agency costs. Thank you, as always, for your continued support to the Hopeful Piggy Bank.
