Pregnancy Update: 32 Weeks
4November 3, 2016 by CassieCravings
Baby Felix and I have reached a big milestone in this pregnancy. 32 weeks. This week is one of those developmental hurdles that makes me breathe much easier now that we’ve reached it. At this point in my pregnancy with Eli, I was already on strict bed rest for 2 weeks. I was in preterm labor, and barely had 4 weeks to go before he was born.
With this pregnancy, that 32 week mark came and went. I have no signs of preterm labor! I am still working full time and am maintaining a fairly normal, although less active, lifestyle.

Look at how Felix has grown!
At my last appointment, my doctor was floored at how well this pregnancy is going. There is no medical reason that we could conceive and no medical reason that I could carry without blood thinner and no medical reason that I could make it to 32 weeks without being on bed rest. And yet…
And yet we passed that milestone, and we’re looking forward to the next. I am feeling really well, especially for being this far along. Of course, it’s not always comfortable carrying a small pumpkin in my belly. I waddle like a duck. I’m stretching those maternity shirts over my ever-growing belly. My back aches. I fight nausea and indigestion with every morsel that goes into my mouth. And it is all miraculous. Even the discomfort reminds me of the blessing of carrying this tiny little boy.
32 weeks, and we are blessed.
